2nd Week

Well it is the second week of construction on parent's property. They have brought in some gravel to make a driveway for the trucks and equipment.

They have dug up part of the neighbors yard to get to the power.

And there is now a level outline of the house. This is the front door.

Declan's 2nd Grade Concert

Declan had his class concert. It had a country theme so they sang several country songs. Then they did some square dancing so I actually got to see Declan dance with a girl for the first time. Declan kept the fact that they would be dancing a secret so that I would be surprised. I don't know if I should be proud that Declan has reached the age where he can finally keep a secret or worried :).

We went out later that afternoon and what a difference. It is going to be so much fun going out and seeing how the building progresses.

We went out first thing this morning to get shots of what had been done the first day and they had already been working for two hours so this is what it looked like beginning of day 2

Lochlan went with us and loved watching the guys move all the trees into piles and liked Glenn the site manager's spray paint gun even more.

Lent

The boys and I participated in the observance of Lent for the first time (Steve had to work). Our church put on an awesome event with tons of interactive stations. Declan's favorite was a station about letting things go and giving them over to God. You wrote something that you wanted forgiven or struggling with on a piece of paper and then put the paper in water and it dissolved and disappeared. Declan put struggling with the feelings that he is small. He told me when it was done dissolving that he knows that God made him the perfect size.
