Welcome Home Goodale Family

Okay we had two weeks notice when Steve got transferred and then we took a trip to Washington and we bought a house in two days. We are under contract and should close at the beginning of next month.

For those of you who have visited us at our old condo that we rented we had these same square windows going up our old stairs. When Steve and I were praying to be home owners we would pray for something like our condo except more rooms, two car garage, not attached, and a yard. He took us very literally in fact when I was describing the home to Steve that is how I described it.
Our new yard. Steve was really excited about this and is already making plans for what we are going to do to it. Please continue to pray that everything goes smoothly with the move and that all the financing/loan stuff comes together at closing.

We did a bunch of fun stuff the week before Lochlan's birthday but I still wanted him to have a fun cake on his actual 1st birthday like Declan's Bob the Tomato cake...

This is Lochlan's train cake it is made out of carrot cake and cream cheese frosting. The engine kind of fell apart but it was delicious all the same...

Lochlan loves fig newtons so I filled the caboose with them.

He ate all the fig newtons before he discovered what cake was :)

GAME NIGHT

Last night we had game night. Burritos, cards, candy, and of course a ton of Cheesecake.

Nap Time

What does Declan do during his nap while he is supposed to be sleeping? He builds a "hide out for two-face".

Starting School and Crawling

This video is to get everyone caught up. Declan started preschool two weeks ago and loves it. Lochlan started crawling last week.

End of Summer

Saddleback had a preview day for preschool and kindergarten kids. It was a blast. There was free child care for Lochlan so Declan got our full attention. He received a treasure map and you had to go to all the stations to collect stickers and receive your prize. Only Saddleback does events like this.

Declan showed no fear on this giant water slide I was so proud.

Declan just laid there rolling around in the soapy water, Steve had to make him get up, so gross.




He was laughing hysterically at this women doing a puppet show it was beyond adorable. Even in the moment I knew that this would be a moment I would remember forever.

Declan Turns 4

Ok I know I am making excuses but Declan's birthday was right on the heels of Dan's wedding so we just did something very low key and promised ourselves we would go all out for the big five year.

This is Declan on his first birthday...

And now...He has grown up so fast. I know that sounds lame but my parents were right they grow up fast.
