Low Tide on Hood Canal

While we were in Washington we went down to the water at low tide to let the kids get up close with some sea life. Declan was crying because he was scarred the little crabies would pinch him (that is what I get for warning him not to touch them because they pinch). He got over it..

Mac pointing out a crab. Can you spot it in the next picture?

Joella and Uncle Randy enjoying the scene...

What is Uncle Ben showing all the kiddos...?

My boys...
Miss Audrey was having a blast; that girl has no fear :)

There was this great park at the beach complete with bridge and creek...

Kathy Jones the master mind behind the weeks events...
Uncle Don and Aunt Stacy get the award for biggest help on this vacation. Thanks for all your hard work putting together meals with my mom. Miss you already.

The Bend at Hood Canal, WA

For Dan and Sara's week long wedding extravaganza my parents rented The Bend. It was amazing. I didn't get any shots of the front(which was impressive) but the views from the back are what we really loved. The first one is a shot of the indoor hot tub.

This is what it looks like when the tide is all the way out... and yes that is a bald eagle.

Lochlan Update

Lochlan is seven months and two weeks old. He said his first word, DaDa of course, while we were in Alaska (without Steve). He said it again for Steve a day or two after we got back. He is trying very hard to crawl but mostly he just pushes himself backwards. He continues to be a very happy and easy going baby. He had a lot of fun in Alaska and took an instant liking to my cousin Joella (he was fascinated with her). They will be reunited at Dan's wedding in a few weeks.

So

Aunt Jenn

We lost Aunt Jenn on May 22nd after her 2 1/2 year battle with cancer. Thank you to everyone who has been praying for her, Uncle Jeremy and the kids (Joella and Ben). Please continue to pray for the family. Below is a picture from her memorial service and a picture of her with my mom on our first Alaska trip. This is the quote that Jenn wanted to leave with all of us:

"Do your best to enjoy your loved ones; God created us for relationship with Him and our loved ones, so cut the drama, love fiercely, practice forgiveness, and treat ALL other people kindly and with honesty" -Jennifer Jones
