Lochlan Update

Lochlan is seven months and two weeks old. He said his first word, DaDa of course, while we were in Alaska (without Steve). He said it again for Steve a day or two after we got back. He is trying very hard to crawl but mostly he just pushes himself backwards. He continues to be a very happy and easy going baby. He had a lot of fun in Alaska and took an instant liking to my cousin Joella (he was fascinated with her). They will be reunited at Dan's wedding in a few weeks.

So

Aunt Jenn

We lost Aunt Jenn on May 22nd after her 2 1/2 year battle with cancer. Thank you to everyone who has been praying for her, Uncle Jeremy and the kids (Joella and Ben). Please continue to pray for the family. Below is a picture from her memorial service and a picture of her with my mom on our first Alaska trip. This is the quote that Jenn wanted to leave with all of us:

"Do your best to enjoy your loved ones; God created us for relationship with Him and our loved ones, so cut the drama, love fiercely, practice forgiveness, and treat ALL other people kindly and with honesty" -Jennifer Jones

Tortilla Flats

Declan has been asking to go to Tortilla Flats lately so he was very excited when Paka asked us to meet him there this week. I think it is more about Paka taking him down to the lake than the food :)

Lochlan's First Visit to the Ocean

We missed church last Sunday because I had to work so we decided to spend our lunch together enjoying God's creation at the ocean. The waves were awesome!

This is a pic we took of Flat Pat, a project our family has been working on for my cousin Mac.

A Goodale Family Visit to Tucson, AZ

We went to Tucson to visit Great-Grandma Etta and got to see almost the whole Goodale gang. Grandpa and Grandma Goodale had a big basket full of fun toys for Declan...
Uncle Jeff helped him explore the limits of his slinky...

Declan and Uncle Jeff also had some fun with bubbles (Sorry if the pictures are a little grainy my camera was on the wrong setting for this)...

We drove out to the old part of town in order to see some of the bigger cactus. The birds peck holes in the cactus and make nests inside of them. Declan used his new binoculars to watch the birds.
We took some family pics. Here is the boys with Grandma Goodale and Grandma Etta...

Grandma Etta with all her boys...

Relaxing after lunch. Declan is sitting in his favorite spot. He actually told Jeff he had to move over so he could be by Grandma Goodale...
